Hyderabad : In a vibrant tribute to India’s cultural unity, Telangana Raj Bhavan celebrated the Foundation Day of eight states and five Union Territories on 1st November 2024 at Samskruthi Hall, Hyderabad, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative. The Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, graced the event as Chief Guest, extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
Governor Varma highlighted the role of cultural exchange programs in fostering national unity, applauding the artists for their vibrant performances. Attendees enjoyed a rich display of traditional dances and music, including Kuchipudi, Thiruvathira, Haryanvi folk dance, Bhangra, and Bharatanatyam, as well as a spread of culinary delights showcasing the distinct flavors of each state and Union Territory.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, dignitaries, and cultural delegates, celebrating India’s diversity and the unifying spirit of its cultural heritage.
