Hyderabad : The Afzalgunj police have filed a complaint against T Raja Singh, the BJP MLA from Goshamahal, for leading a procession during Sri Ram Navami festivities without obtaining the necessary permission, resulting in traffic disruptions.
The charges were filed under Sections 341, 188, 290, 171-C r/w 34 IPC. The Afzalgunj police initiated legal action on their own accord following a report from a sub-inspector.
In the report, the sub-inspector asserted that Raja Singh organized a procession on Sri Ram Navami without authorization, delivering a significant public address at Gowliguda, where he allegedly attempted to sway voters with his rhetoric.
The police are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
