Golconda Fort Gears Up for Grand Independence Day Celebrations Under DGP’s Scrutiny

Golconda Fort to Witness Vibrant Independence Day Celebrations: Security and Comfort Assured

Hyderabad(Aug, 11): DGP Anjani kumar-IPS conducted a thorough review on Friday of the preparations underway for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, scheduled for August 15 at the historic Golconda Fort. During the meeting, attended by officials from various departments, DGP Anjani kumar outlined the itinerary for the day. The Chief Minister will begin by paying his respects at the Secunderabad Martyrs Stupa, followed by the unfurling of the national flag at Golconda Fort at 11 am. The DGP emphasized the importance of ensuring a seamless and disruption-free event, instructing officials to take necessary measures.

Among the attendees were City Police Commissioner CV Anand, Additional DG Swati Lakra, Education Department Secretary Vakati Karuna, School Education Director Devasena, Protocol Director Arvind Singh, Tourism Corporation MD Manohar, TSIIC MD Narsimha Reddy, and others. Notably, special arrangements have been made to enhance the attendees’ experience.

Ashok Reddy, Special Commissioner of the Department of Information and Civil Relations, highlighted the installation of 14 large LEDs within the auditorium to provide clear visibility to all attendees, regardless of their seating location. Additionally, a comprehensive live coverage plan has been set up, involving 10 camera units to capture and broadcast the event.

The officials assured the DGP of their diligent efforts to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees, especially students, chief guests, and officials. Jalmandali MD Dana Kishore detailed arrangements for ample water supply, with 1 lakh water packets and 25,000 water bottles provided by Hyderabad Jalmandali. Medical support is also in place, with 4 ambulances stationed at the premises and a room allocated for medical services at Golconda Primary Health Center. The fire department is ready with 3 fire engines, 6 best bikes, and 4 ladders for safety measures. The Electricity Department, in collaboration with the Roads and Buildings Department, has secured uninterrupted power supply through the use of special generators and waterproof sheds.

The Culture Department highlighted the participation of approximately 1200 artists who will extend their warm greetings to the Chief Minister during the celebration. Addressing logistical concerns, Traffic Additional CP Sudhir Babu shared parking arrangements for around 1930 vehicles in the vicinity of Golconda Fort. Special parking zones have been designated for various categories, including ministers, senior government officials, MLAs, MPs, media vehicles, and general visitors. GHMC is also coordinating sanitation efforts for the event. As all aspects fall into place, anticipation builds for a momentous and smoothly executed Independence Day celebration at Golconda Fort.
