Hyderabad : The RBVRR Telangana Police Academy will host the First Telangana State Conference for Women in Police from August 20 to 22, 2025 in Hyderabad. The event will bring together 400–450 women police officers from all ranks across the State for open discussions on challenges, opportunities, and reforms.
Director General of Police Dr. Jitender, IPS said the conference aims to empower women police personnel, enhance efficiency, and provide a platform for them to voice their issues. Officers from other uniformed services — including Excise, Prisons, Forest, and Transport — along with senior officials from other States, Central Police Forces, and subject experts will also participate, sharing best practices and fostering collaborative learning.
A key outcome of the conference will be the drafting of a comprehensive Gender Policy Document for Telangana Police, focusing on integration, empowerment, and well-being of women officers. Topics like uniform design for pregnancy and maternity will also be addressed.
D. Anasuya , Minister for Women & Child Welfare, will inaugurate the conference on August 20. The organisers expect the Chief Minister of Telangana to attend the Valedictory Ceremony on August 22, where the conference recommendations will be presented.
Senior police officers including Abhilasha Bisht, Shikha Goel, Mahesh M. Bhagwat, Charu Sinha, Anil Kumar, and Tafseer Iqubal are actively involved in the event preparations.
