Emotional Tributes Paid to Ramoji Rao by Telangana Hindi Journalist Association

Hyderabad(June 16) : A condolence meeting was organized in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, to mourn the demise of the country’s well-known media personality, Ramoji Rao. The meeting, held under the banner of the Telangana Hindi Journalist Association, saw emotional tributes being paid to the founder of the Eenadu Group. The function was conducted by Dr. Devkumar Pukhraj, and the vote of thanks was given by Iqbal Hussain.

“Speaking during the function, senior journalist Dr. Devkumar Pukhraj said that Ramoji Rao gave new direction and heights to journalism and cinema in the country. The Indian media and film world can never forget his contributions. Under his leadership, ETV News Network groomed and polished budding journalists, providing them with golden opportunities to shine in the media world. Pukhraj said that Ramoji Rao gave wings to the dreams of thousands of aspiring journalists.”
“The Association’s Vice President, Iqbal Hussain, said that there is no one in sight who can carry forward the torch of honest and unbiased journalism that Ramoji Rao lit. We should strive to follow his dreams, as this will be the true tribute to that great man.”
“The Association’s Secretary, Manish Kumar, mentioned that ETV was the only institution in the country where new talents had the chance to flourish without any need for introductions, connections, or lobbying. Ramoji provided equal opportunities for journalists of all languages across the country to work in Ramoji Film City. Today, those journalists are playing major roles in various media institutions nationwide.”

Journalists paid tributes

During the ceremony, attendees paid floral tributes to an oil painting of Ramoji Rao and expressed their respects to the media giant. They also shared their memories of him. In the end, two minutes of silence were observed, and prayers were offered for the peace of the departed soul. An agreement was also reached to document and publish memories of working in Ramoji Film City.

It should be noted that Padma Vibhushan awardee and founder of the Eenadu Group, Ramoji Rao, passed away on June 8 in Hyderabad. His last rites were performed the next day at the special Smriti Upvan in Ramoji Film City.

Prominent among those who paid tribute to the late Ramoji Rao were senior journalists Amarendra Kumar, Sanjay Sinha, Devkumar Pukhraj, Iqbal Hussain, Rahil Pasha, Sushant Suyash, Manish Mishra, Azam Azmi, Kalpesh Pandya, Rakesh Jha, Yashwant Kumar Bablu, Tripti Singh, Chandan Kumar, and others.
