Hyderabad(Jan, 1) : The New Year was joyously ushered in by the Telangana Police through a grand celebration at the Police Mess in Hyderabad on Monday, meticulously organized by the IPS Officers’ Association. Distinguished figures, including Telangana’s Director General of Police Ravi Gupta, Road Safety Authority Chairman Anjani Kumar-IPS, Home Secretary Jithender, Intelligence Chief B. Shivadhar Reddy, and Govind Singh, graced the event. In a symbolic gesture, DGP Ravi Gupta cut a celebratory cake with fellow officers, expressing his pride in the Telangana Police’s exemplary status as a national role model.
Addressing the gathering, DGP Gupta conveyed his New Year wishes, emphasizing the force’s commitment to maintaining the safety and well-being of the state’s residents. Recognizing the collective achievements of the Telangana Police, he lauded their teamwork and highlighted their pivotal role in various events, including the peaceful conduct of elections, Bonalu, and Dasara in 2023.
DGP Gupta urged officers to focus on emerging challenges like cybercrime, drug trafficking, and women’s safety while emphasizing the importance of close community ties, especially in rural areas.Stressing the need for transparency and democracy in policing, he encouraged the use of technology as a tool to achieve these goals. In his concluding remarks, the DGP reiterated the commitment to excellence, stating, “The glory of Telangana Police as the best police force in the country should always remain.”
