Congress Is Selling Seats today, Tomorrow It will Sell Telangana: Minister KTR

Suryapet : During his visit to Nalgonda and Suryapet, BRS Party Working President KTR launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and its Telangana Chief, Revanth Reddy. He accused the Congress of being in the hands of a figure previously embroiled in the ‘vote for note’ scandal, labeling him a seat-seller who would potentially auction off the entire state if given the chance. KTR also criticized Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, pointing out his lackluster performance during his tenure as a Minister in the Congress Government.

Expressing concerns about the six guarantees put forth by Congress, KTR predicted that if the party came to power, it would lead to power shortages, frequent changes in the Chief Minister’s office, and numerous scandals. He emphasized the welfare initiatives undertaken by Chief Minister KCR, such as pensions for senior citizens and the physically challenged, which he claimed were unparalleled by Congress or BJP-led states.

Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertion that BRS was a family party, KTR argued that BRS represented the four crore people of Telangana, with CM KCR as their leader. He highlighted KCR’s role as a guardian to the elderly and a protector of farmers through schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema.

In response to accusations of dynasty politics, KTR stated that BRS drew inspiration from historical figures like Queen Rani Rudrama Devi and revolutionary leader Komaram Bheem, focusing on temple construction and water body development. He also emphasized BRS’s commitment to education, citing Gurukula Schools and other initiatives, along with their dedication to the principles of Telangana martyrs.

KTR concluded by noting that BRS followed the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, contrasting this with what he perceived as the BJP’s alignment with the ideology of Godse. Finally, he refuted claims made by PM Modi regarding farm loan waivers in Telangana, asserting that the Chief Minister had indeed waived farm loans on two occasions and cautioned against making unfounded statements. Minister KTR’s remarks came during his visit, where he inaugurated IT Towers and participated in various developmental programs in the region
