Congress Hits BJP with ‘Donkey Egg’ Campaign Over Telangana’s Budget Allocation

Hyderabad : The Telangana Congress party has launched a provocative campaign by installing “Gadidha Guddu” (Donkey Egg) flex banners across Hyderabad to criticize the BJP for what they claim is discrimination against Telangana in the 2024 Union Budget. The banners boldly state, “What BJP has given to Telangana: Donkey Egg,” highlighting their contention that despite Telangana’s support of eight MP seats to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, the state received no meaningful budget allocations.

This move has garnered significant attention and sparked widespread debate among Telangana residents, who are expressing their dissatisfaction with what they perceive as inadequate support from the central government. The term “Gadidha Guddu” echoes a previous Congress campaign, underscoring their ongoing efforts to address what they see as neglect of the state’s need.
