Hyderabad(Jan, 6) : In a shocking incident, a group of MIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) members, led by Malakpet Corporator Mohammed Shafi, allegedly attacked Hyderabad DCC President Sameer Waliullah and his teenage son Alishba in the Malakpet area on Saturday. Alishba, in his complaint to the Chaderghat Police, claimed that the attack occurred as they were returning from a Praja Palana camp at Ambedkar Community Hall around 2:30 pm.
The MIM Corporators, including Mohammed Shafi and his associates, reportedly halted them, subjected them to vulgar language, and physically assaulted them. Subsequently, Sameer Waliullah, accompanied by other Congress leaders, filed a complaint at Chaderghat Police Station, urging stringent action against the perpetrators.
The Chaderghat Police registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation. Condemning the attack, Sameer Waliullah emphasized that political differences should not be settled through violence, and the Congress Government would not tolerate such acts, promising action against those engaging in rowdism.
