Commissioner C.V. Anand Visits Renovated Ram Gopal Pet Police Station

Hyderabad : Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, IPS, visited the historic Ram Gopal Pet Police Station building on James Street, Secunderabad, following its renovation by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). Originally built in 1900, the station served the public for 116 years before being vacated in 2016 due to structural issues.

The Commissioner announced that the station’s operations will soon return to the restored building, with a formal inauguration planned by Hyderabad District’s In-charge Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar. He emphasized the heritage value of such structures and urged their preservation. Commissioner Anand also noted that the renovated Commissioner’s Office at Purani Haveli is nearing completion and will begin functioning weekly.

The visit was attended by DCP North Zone S. Rashmi Perumal, IPS, DCP Traffic Rahul Hegde, IPS, and other senior officials.
