Hyderabad : The Central Milad procession will be held across Hyderabad and Telangana on Sunday, September 14, to mark the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
A high-level meeting was convened at the Command and Control Center, Banjara Hills, chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, Akbaruddin Owaisi, senior officials, and members of the Central Milad Procession Committee.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the committee of full government cooperation in organizing the large-scale event. He directed the electricity department to provide free power supply for the illumination of historic mosques and shrines across the state, subject to adherence to official protocols.
The CM emphasized that the celebrations should promote peace, harmony, and the message of love, while thanking the Majlis leadership for extending cooperation.
General Secretary Maulana Syed Qadir Mohiuddin Qadri Junaid Pasha Zareen Kalah announced that the main procession will start after Zuhr prayers from Mecca Masjid, passing through Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Madina Building, Salar Jung Museum, Darushifa, Purani Haveli, Mir Alam Mandi, Itabar Chowk, Kotla Alijah, and Bibi Bazaar, before concluding at Volta Hotel intersection.
The Central Milad Procession Committee, headed by President Maulana Syed Shekhan Ahmed Qadri Shatari Kamil Pasha and Convener Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Muzaffar Hussain Khan Qadri Banda Nawazi, appealed to all Milad committees to maintain discipline and ensure a peaceful atmosphere during the procession. Students from schools, colleges, and seminaries will also take part, spreading the Prophet’s teachings through placards and messages.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, TMREIS Chairman Muhammad Faheemuddin Qureshi, Hyderabad Police Commissioner & DG C.V. Anand, IPS, DG Intelligence Shivadhar Reddy, and other senior officers. The government assured that comprehensive security and traffic arrangements will be in place for the historic even.
