CM KCR unveils 125-ft-tall Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, April 14 : 132nd birth anniversary Dr. BR Ambedkar’s 125 feet statue was inaugurated by Chief Minister KCR on Friday, April 14 near Hussain sagar Lake. On this occasion CM KCR congratulated Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy, himself an engineer, worked for the construction of Ambedkar’s statue without counting sleepless nights.

Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari said that the statue of BR Ambedkar is not just a statue, but this grand statue will be an eternal light of consciousness for every citizen and every tourist visiting the city of Hyderabad. Ambedkar statue unveiling program was organized today by CS.

She said that this statue will be a constant inspiration for people living and visiting the city, state, government officials, employees, workers, farmers, poor and weaker sections.
“I am very happy to be a part of this historic occasion not only as an officer but also as an individual,” said the CS.

After the creation of India’s youngest state #Telangana in 2014, the remarkable efforts and progress made in these 9 years have seen the GSDP of Telangana grow almost three times to Rs 13.27 lakh crore with per capita income.
Government of Telangana, with the determination to make development schemes available to all, implements innovative development and welfare schemes which are not available anywhere in the country for all round development of downtrodden, weak, marginalised, oppressed, underprivileged.
She thanked the Chief Minister of the State for being the main factor and motivator in achieving this lofty goal. CS Shanti Kumari said that the foresight of our Chief Minister, who made it possible in a very short time with his invaluable suggestions at every level from the selection of the place for idol installation, is a miracle.
