Hyderabad : The Telangana High Court has issued a significant order prohibiting children under the age of 16 from watching films in theaters or multiplexes after 11 pm. The court made the decision following consultations with child psychologists, stressing the potential negative impact on children’s physical and emotional health from late-night movie screenings.
Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy’s bench also recommended that the State Government issue directives to regulate children’s entry into theaters both before 11 am and after 11 pm. This ruling came during a hearing on petitions related to increased movie ticket prices and special show permissions. The next hearing is scheduled for February 22.
