New Delhi : On August 28, a momentous event is set to unfold at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, as family members of the revered actor and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), gather to participate in an occasion of great significance. This event will mark the unveiling of a commemorative Rs 100 coin, paying tribute to NTR’s enduring legacy. The ceremony will be graced by the esteemed presence of the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, who will preside over the proceedings. Joining the gathering will be NTR’s family, including notable figures such as Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram.
This notable coin, conceptualized by the Centre as part of the NTR centenary celebrations, carries deep symbolism. Meticulously crafted, the coin boasts a diameter of 44 mm and comprises 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel, and 5 percent zinc. One side of the coin features three majestic lions and the iconic Ashoka Chakra, while the reverse side showcases a portrait of NTR himself.
