Hyderabad(Sep, 16): During a heartwarming event at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, BRS senior leader Dr. Dasoju Sravan showered praise upon Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, recognizing him as an exceptionally compassionate and responsive party founder. The occasion was marked by the distribution of financial aid cheques to the grieving family members of deceased party workers.
Dr. Sravan extended his condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the BRS party’s unwavering support. Notably, besides the distribution of these cheques, TRS office bearers took the opportunity to renew the life insurance policies of BRS members for the upcoming year, demonstrating the party’s commitment to its members’ well-being. In attendance were esteemed dignitaries such as Legislative Assembly deputy speaker Padma Devendar Reddy, MLA Hari Priya, former MLC Srinivas Reddy, Telangana Dairy Chairman Soma Bharat Kumar, and others.
Dr. Sravan lauded Chief Minister KCR’s unprecedented concern for party workers, emphasizing the introduction of life insurance for all TRS members as a testament to KCR’s unparalleled empathy and leadership in India’s political landscape. The insurance premiums, amounting to Rs 25.54 crore for the year 2023-24, are fully covered by the party leadership. Dr. Sravan explained that KCR’s dedication extends beyond the party, highlighting various insurance schemes for different segments of the population, including farmers, weavers, toddy tappers, and construction workers. This commitment ensures that a vast majority of the state’s population is safeguarded by life insurance, with prompt disbursement of claims, showcasing the government’s unwavering support during times of adversity.
In particular, the Rythu Bima scheme, providing a life insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to each farmer, stands as a symbol of the government’s proactive approach to securing the well-being of its citizens, irrespective of their political affiliations. For the 2023-24 period, over 41.04 lakh farmers are set to benefit from Rythu Bima, with a remarkable sum of Rs. 1,477 crore contributed by the BRS Government towards insurance premiums, solidifying Chief Minister KCR’s enduring commitment to the welfare of the people.
