Hyderabad : BRS leader Krishank Manne has accused the Congress Government of corruption in the TSRTC ticketing contract, alleging that the contract for the Automatic Fare Collection System worth crores was awarded to Chalo Mobility without following proper tender procedures.
Krishank criticized the use of the Mahalaxmi scheme, funded by taxpayers, to allegedly benefit a specific company, questioning whether it was a pretext for corruption. He highlighted discrepancies in the tender process timeline and raised concerns over the rapid decision-making that preceded the award to Chalo Mobility.
Krishank also questioned the reduction in the number of competing companies in the 2024 tender compared to 2022, and criticized the government’s procurement practices, suggesting favoritism in awarding the contract. He called for transparency, urging access to contract documents and committee reports to uncover any wrongdoing in the public transport sector.
