Bollywood : Actor-writer-director Satish Kaushik passed away today at the age of 66. His close colleague and best friend Anupam Kher took to Twitter to announce the sad news. This news has shaken the entire industry.

This veteran actor was born on April 13, 1956. His breakout role was that of the character Calendar in Shekhar Kapur’s Mr. India. An alumnus of National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India, he also made an impact with early releases like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Mandi and Woh 7 Din.
Kaushik made a directorial turn with Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka. King. Tere Naam and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain are some of his popular films as a director. Kaushik’s last post on his official Twitter account was a series of pictures from the annual Holi celebrations organized by renowned lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar in Mumbai on March 7.
Since the news of his demise broke, many Bollywood actors expressed their grief on social media. Former co-stars and friends of the late actor took it upon themselves to express their condolences to the Kaushik family and shared their fondest memory of the star who is survived by his wife and daughter.
