BJP Slams Rahul Gandhi’s “Abusive” Speech, Demands Unconditional Apology

Telangana BJP Demands Rahul Gandhi’s Apology for Remarks Against PM Modi and His Mother

Hyderabad : The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday strongly condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for making what it described as “abusive and derogatory remarks” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a public address in Bihar.

State BJP Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N V Subhash demanded that Rahul Gandhi issue an immediate and unconditional apology to the Prime Minister and also to the departed soul of his mother.

In a statement, Subhash said Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were an insult to Indian culture and values.

“In India, irrespective of religion or political differences, a mother is accorded the highest respect. Using slurs against any mother is against the ethos of Indian society. Rahul Gandhi’s comments are shameful and unbecoming of a national leader,” he said.

Hitting back at the Congress leader, Subhash said that the BJP’s election symbol, the Lotus, has always bloomed in the mud.

“Rahul Gandhi’s repeated abuses against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his habit of insulting the nation even on foreign soil will only serve as fertilizer for the Lotus to bloom further,” he added.

The BJP spokesperson also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’, calling it nothing more than a “Save Infiltrators Yatra”, intended to mislead people with false propaganda regarding India’s electoral system.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s claim that the Prime Minister has remained silent on his Bihar campaign, Subhash remarked:

“Rahul Gandhi is behaving like a galli ka neta (street-level leader), while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been acknowledged across the world as a global statesman.”

The Telangana BJP reiterated that such repeated attempts by Rahul Gandhi to lower the level of political discourse would only backfire and further strengthen the people’s resolve to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
