Hyderabad (July, 19) : During the upcoming Parliament’s monsoon session, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) plans to address various critical issues concerning the country. With a focus on topics like the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Manipur violence, and the role of Governors, the BRS aims to engage in robust discussions and demand accountability from the NDA government. The party’s floor leader in Lok Sabha, Nama Nageswara Rao, revealed that they would seek Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the Manipur violence.
Additionally, the BRS intends to raise concerns about Governors in non-BJP ruled states allegedly interfering with state governments’ functioning, highlighting what they consider to be undemocratic practices. Discussions on minimum support price for farmers, unemployment, inflation, women’s reservation, SC/ST minority issues, and the national census are also on the party’s agenda. Moreover, the BRS plans to protest the government’s failure to establish a railway coach factory in Kazipet and seek clarifications on issues related to the division of the state and the unfulfilled promises of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
