Hyderabad :Â The All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s “Save Waqf, Save Constitution” campaign intensified with a symbolic protest on April 30, 2025, as part of its second phase. From 9 pm to 9:15 pm, participants across the country switched off their lights in a “Bati Gul” protest, led by Alhaj Moulvi Waheed Ahmed Advocate, State President of the Advocates Forum. This nationwide protest aimed to express opposition to the controversial law impacting Waqf properties. Waheed Ahmed, expressing gratitude to the supporters, reiterated the demand for the government to withdraw this black law.
He emphasized that the protest was a call for the protection of Waqf properties and constitutional values. With widespread participation from mosque committees, imams, women’s groups, and youth, the protest underscored the community’s strong opposition. If the government ignores this peaceful protest, Waheed Ahmed warned of larger-scale movements to follow.
