Hyderabad : AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi participated in the nationwide protest launched by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) against the controversial Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025. As part of the protest, Owaisi switched off the lights at his residence from 9 pm to 9:15 pm, joining countless others across the country.
The AIMPLB initiated the ‘switch off lights’ campaign to demonstrate opposition to the amendments to the Waqf Act, which they believe threatens the protection of Waqf properties and undermines constitutional rights. This symbolic gesture, aimed at raising awareness and expressing solidarity, marks a significant step in the ongoing movement to safeguard Waqf properties and uphold constitutional values.
