Hyderabad : NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, successfully concluded its Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 with a valedictory function that highlighted the importance of integrity and ethical practices within the organization. The week, which commenced on October 28, 2024, was part of a broader three-month awareness campaign running from August 16 to November 15, featuring various events at project sites and headquarters.
The event featured a keynote address by Mahesh M. Bhagwat, IPS, Additional DGP (L&O) Hyderabad, who emphasized the critical role of integrity in fostering a culture of transparency and responsibility. During the ceremony, the in-house vigilance magazine “Subodh” was unveiled, and prizes were awarded to children, employees, and stakeholders who participated in various activities.
NMDC’s senior leadership, including CMD Amitava Mukherjee and Chief Vigilance Officer B. Vishwanath, commended the vigilance team’s efforts, emphasizing the significance of preventive vigilance and adherence to ethical practices. The week also included engaging activities like quiz competitions, essay writing, and a ‘Run for Unity’ in honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, reinforcing NMDC’s commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and unity among its employees and the community.
