DCP Southwest Leads Extensive Search Operation, Seizes Hawala Cash and Liquor Bottles

Hyderabad(Oct, 4) : In response to directives from City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand IPS, a cordon and search operation was conducted within the police station limits of Kulsumpura Puranapul area. DCP Southwest, Kiran Khare IPS, addressed the media regarding the operation, which involved the participation of over 100 policemen who meticulously searched bars, lodges, pan shops, and restaurants in the vicinity.

Notably, during the operation, a total of 140 vehicles, including 2 four-wheelers and 19 autos, were seized due to their lack of proper documents. In a significant development, the police also confiscated 18 lakhs worth of hawala cash, banned tobacco items, and 50 liquor bottles. The Southwest police further scrutinized the activities of rowdy sheeters and issued warnings as part of their efforts to maintain law and order.

DCP Kiran Khare IPS emphasized that similar operations would continue in the upcoming days, especially in preparation for the Assembly Elections, with the primary aim of instilling confidence among the citizens.
