Minister Harish Rao Welcomes Muslim Leaders to BRS Party, Highlights Secular Harmony

Zaheerabad(Aug, 18):  Telangana’s Finance and Health Minister, T. Harish Rao, proudly declared that the state stands at the forefront of minority welfare initiatives across the country. He attributed this success to Chief Minister KCR’s visionary leadership, which has not only bolstered unity between Hindus and Muslims but has also safeguarded the cherished Ganga Jamuna Tahzeeb. Minister Harish Rao highlighted the government’s secular approach as a testament to religious harmony within Telangana.

In a significant development, a group of Muslim minority leaders and Congress party workers from the Zaheerabad constituency of Medak district joined the BRS party under the guidance of TSIDC chairman and BRS leader Mohammad Tanveer. The event, graced by Minister T. Harish Rao, witnessed the welcoming of several notable figures, including Mohammad Moise, Akbar, Fakhruddin, and 200 other Muslim minority leaders, as they donned pink scarves to signify their membership. Esteemed BRS leaders Narottam, Nama Ravikiran, Basit, Shaki Vastad, Tajuddin, and Akram also participated in the event.

Minister Harish Rao highlighted the remarkable budget allocation for minority welfare in Telangana, showcasing the state’s dedication. He pointed out that while Maharashtra allocated 674 crores for a population of one and a half million Muslim minorities, Telangana allocated 2,200 crores for a population of 50 lakhs. The minister emphasized CM KCR’s commitment, having invested ten thousand crores since the formation of Telangana for minority welfare, including the establishment of 204 schools providing quality education to Muslim youth in both English and Urdu mediums. A future-focused initiative aims to offer opportunities in various employment sectors. Additionally, a plan to provide a one lakh rupee grant to support minority individuals in establishing businesses is in the works.

Highlighting developments in Zaheerabad, Minister Harish Rao shared progress on the construction of Hajj House, Shadikhanas, and Kabarastan. The leadership of Muslim minorities has been promoted in various sectors, with Chief Minister KCR prioritizing inclusivity. Minister Harish Rao contrasted Telangana’s harmonious atmosphere with other regions plagued by unrest due to political agendas.

Drawing comparisons with neighboring Karnataka, Minister Harish Rao criticized the Congress party’s power struggles and highlighted Telangana’s consistent power supply and improved water availability, especially in Zaheerabad. He concluded by affirming the government’s commitment to progress, social harmony, and inclusive development.
