Hyderabad(Aug, 17): The world of Telugu journalism is in mourning as it bids farewell to the distinguished journalist and insightful political analyst, CHVM Krishna Rao, who passed away at the age of 64. Affectionately referred to as “Babai” among his close ones, Krishna Rao’s extensive journalistic journey is a testament to his unyielding dedication to the field. He leaves behind a legacy of significant contributions to numerous newspapers, encompassing both the English and Telugu languages.
Krishna Rao embarked on his illustrious 47-year career in journalism in 1975, starting as a diligent stringer. Over the years, his unwavering commitment led him to renowned publications such as Eenadu, Andhraprabha, Andhrabhoomi, Deccan Chronicle, and The New Indian Express. Notably, he held the position of head of the news bureau at Deccan Chronicle for an impressive span of 18 years.
