Hyderabad (July, 22) : DGP Anjani Kumar presented cash incentives to 33 police officers who achieved remarkable success in various sports competitions organized at the national level. The officers were honored for their exceptional performances and medal wins in events such as the All India Police Sports, Badminton Championship, Water Sports, Volleyball, Sepak Takraw, Wrestling, Crime Investigation, and more, held in different parts of the country from 2018 to 2023.
The cash awards ceremony took place at the DGP office and was attended by several dignitaries, including Additional DGs Abhilash Bist, Shika Goyal, Mahesh Bhagwat, Soumya Mishra, and IG Shah Nawaz Qasim, along with many senior police officers. Gold medalists received checks of Rs 3 lakh, silver medalists were awarded Rs 2 lakh, and bronze medalists received Rs 1 lakh as recognition for their outstanding achievements.
DCP B. Sribala Devi, ACP T. Lakshmi, R.I.G. Pawan Rama Kumar, Manmohan, SI Venkatesh, Ramesh, Tirupathi, Praneetha, and others were among the recipients. Additionally, seven police officers who exhibited remarkable talent in criminal investigation and fingerprint departments were presented with certificates of appreciation by the DGP.
