Hyderabad(July, 23) : On July 24, 2023, more than one thousand techies from the IT Hub in Hyderabad, known as the IT Capital of India, will gather to celebrate the 47th birthday of KT Rama Rao, the IT Minister of Telangana. The event is set to take place at the Divyashree NSL IT park behind Raidurgam Police Station, Khajaguda in Hyderabad and is organized by the Telangana Facilities Management Council (TFMC).
Satyanarayana Mathala, the President of TFMC, along with Srinivas Rao Thandra, Dy CRO-IT, shared that among the nearly 10,000 employees working in the IT towers, they expect at least 1000 techies to participate in the celebration by donating blood. The blood donation camp will be held from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm, as part of an initiative called “gift a smile,” in collaboration with Red Cross. To support this noble cause, the event will be aided by five doctors and forty nursing staff.
This unique and purposeful birthday celebration is a tribute to a political leader who has significantly transformed the IT industry in recent years. By combining facilities management professionals and techies to donate blood, they aim to make a positive impact on the lives of many patients in need. Blood, often referred to as the gift of life, has the potential to save multiple lives when separated into its components.
The organizers expressed their hope that this birthday celebration would inspire more people to come forward and voluntarily donate blood. By launching the “Birthday Challenge,” they aim to ensure that no one should suffer or lose their life due to a lack of available blood. They emphasize that blood donation is a critical and constant need, with someone, somewhere, requiring blood every minute.
In conclusion, this unique and thoughtful initiative celebrates not just the birthday of a beloved leader but also the spirit of giving and saving lives within the tech community and beyond. By encouraging blood donation on special occasions like birthdays, they hope to increase the availability of blood in blood banks and ultimately contribute to a healthier and compassionate society.
