Hyderabad(July, 14) : Malkajgiri Special Operations Team, in conjunction with Cherlapally Police, apprehended Yogender Rajput, a resident of Borabanda, Hyderabad, and a native of Akajhiri, Madhya Pradesh. Rajput was found to be in possession of an illegal firearm. The authorities seized one country-made firearm, three live rounds, and a Mahendra XYLO four-wheeler vehicle from him. The case has been registered under CR. NO 16/2023 U/S: 25(1)(1A) & 27(2) of the Arms Act at Cherlapally Police Station under the Rachakonda Commissionerate.
Yogender Rajput, who works as the Director of YRSS Security Services, had relocated to Hyderabad in 2007 and initially worked as a driver. Later, he established his own security agency in Kondapur, which was eventually shifted to Borabanda. It was through his profession that he came into contact with Shaik Shareef, the Director of E-Pro Solutions. Rajput supplied security guards to Shareef’s office, but a financial dispute arose when Shareef failed to make proper payments. This led to animosity between the two, and Rajput plotted to kill Shareef using the firearm.
In January 2023, Rajput traveled to Ashok Nagar District in Madhya Pradesh and contacted his friend Lallu Sharma, who had connections with firearm suppliers. Sharma acted as the mediator, facilitating the purchase of the country-made firearm and three live rounds for Rs 20,000. Three months ago, Rajput went to ECIL X road to meet Shareef, carrying the firearm in his bag with the intention to kill him. However, Shareef promised to repay the due amount, causing Rajput to postpone his plan.
Acting on reliable information, the Malkajgiri Special Operations Team and Cherlapally Police apprehended Yogender Rajput on July 14, 2023. He was found moving suspiciously near Cherlapally Railway bridge in a Mahendra XYLO car. The authorities recovered the illegal firearm, live rounds, and the vehicle from his possession.
